Oldsmobile 442
I'm selling my 69' 442. Here are some of the details,
I have owned the car for 6 years, I purchased it with a bad motor (not numbers matching) I had a local engine shop build a new motor using a block out of a 70' Toronado. The motor is a 455 that has been bored over, I have all the details and built sheet for the motor but its to much to list here. The car has a 4 speed manual tranny and the clutch only has approx 3000 miles on it.
The good:
Sweet running 455
Clutch is basically new
Very very little rust anywhere on the car
Paint and top are in good condition. Its not perfect, but looks great from 10ft away
Suspension and Brakes were done when I bought the car
Runs and drives wonderful
I only put about 500-700 miles on a year
Tires and rims are in great shape (I have a set of the standard rally rims that will go with the car also)
The ignition system was updated 2 years ago
The Bad:
There is no headliner in the car, I bought the car without it in and never put it it. The headliner will go with the car
There is no rear view mirror in the car. I do have it and it will go with the car
There is no seat belts in the front seat
The CD Player doesn't really work, i never worried about it because i never had it on anyway
The paint is cracked and peeling in a few areas, nothing major as it still looks awesome from a few feet away
This has been a great car, its has tons of power and sounds great. It has a mild cam in it and sounds mean at idle. Every time I drive this car I fall in love with it again. But I picked up a convertible this year and i don't need to hot rods.
The car has always been stored inside, and is ready to be driven or restored. I have far more than 12k into the car, but am willing to sell it for 12k obo. I would love to have it sold this fall so i don't have to store it this winter. I need room in the garage to work on the convertible.
Serious parties can email me and set up a time to see the car, no joyriders,
